♥ Job Hunting: The Result
How should I put this? x3
So a couple of days earlier, I got a call from BigLink saying they received my resume and has scheduled me for an interview at 4 p.m. on September 18, which was yesterday. I was trying hard to to be too excited over it or else I'll end up being nervous during the interview.
SO I got to their location at around 4:05 p.m. and when I reached their office, there wasn't much people around and it was a small office compared to PeopleSupport or Convergys but it loks good and comfortable.
So after I filled up their form, I was whisked away to the interview. Let me tell you that, despited their warm welcome and really pleasant attitude during the interview, I was speechless or stammering most of the time. And I can't keep eye contact for some reason. It wasn't that they weren't good to look at. Maybe it has become a habit that I jus't can't keep eye contact during interviews.
So their last question was, "How much are you expecting as your salary?"
And I was like thinking with my mouth slightly open. I remembered seeing their add that their offer was 1ok-15k. So just to be safe I answered, "10,000 to 12,000 perhaps?"
They said 10k and I was speechless again for the nth time since I stepped into that room. They laughed and repeated their offer again. So I said, "10k is fine." ANd then they laughed again, this time one of them said "Do you know what fine means..." I can't remember exactly what he said but I laughed as well and rephrased my answer. "10k is great."
And then stood up and shook my hand and welcomed me aboard.
Holy shi - ! I got my first job?! They probably noticed my facial reaction and they were laughing again, "You look flustered! Isn't that great? You got into your first interview and got your first job!"
Lol, so anyways I thanked them and went home with my mom who accompanied me to the Miriam House Building because I don't know where it is.
The result: I got a night-shofty job as an outbound agent in BigLink Innovative Solutions.
Outbound? Sales? How the hell am I going to do that? I've never tried selling before! =_____= There's training though. We'll be starting it this Friday and I'm waiting for their call to tell me their schedule.
Keep your fingers crossed, I'm happy my prayers have been answered.
I finally have a job.
