♥ The Holidays

The more I got older, the more I realized that Christmas was just like any other day. Compared to my seven-year-old self, I don't enjoy Christmas as much. Don't get me wrong though, I still love Christmas. It's just that as I grew older, I realized that (although it's not as enjoying as when you were a kid), it still is meaningful when you see the kids' faces in your family lit up and how they get excited in opening their present. And the fact that I enjoy shopping for gifts rather than spending them for myself was a really surprising self-realization for me.

I guess Christmas really is for the kids. And we, the grown-ups, cherish their happiness. Happy holidays.

♥ And did I tell you that I love you tonight
